Robert Harper
Coming from one of the most storied communities in America, on the South side of Chicago, Robert has spent the past decade bringing people together to drive positive change in both relationships and systems. As a connector, he founded R.D.T.H Consulting in 2020 to help governments, municipalities, nonprofits, and corporations alike to integrate their values for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) into their business operations.
Robert earned his B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Augsburg University, becoming the first in his family to graduate college. He went on to earn a Master’s of Public Policy from the top-10 ranked University of Minnesota – Humphrey School of Public Affairs. He has an uncompromising commitment to community and has served as a mentor with more than a dozen non-profit organizations. Robert blends forward-thinking policy expertise with responsible business techniques to drive equitable outcomes.
In 2023, he prepared Black & Brown-owned businesses to utilize more than $2 Million in capital to scale their operations. As a result, those businesses were awarded more than $76 Million in contracts with Fortune 500 corporations and local governments. In his tenure, the University of Minnesota with an annual budget of more than $3 Billion, achieved an award-winning $92 Million in expenditures with woman & minority-owned businesses. With innovative, data-driven, and bold solutions, Robert has proven that he can lead large organizations in a new direction.
In his free time, he can be found cheering on the Chicago Bears, Bulls, White Sox, and Blackhawks with his beloved Grandmother!
